One of the devices used during investigations is a laser pointer device (held by Fr. Hall out of frame) which, instead of a single dot displays a large array. The array of lights are used by projecting them across a room and observing any movement occurring that blocks any of the beams of light. Cathy Nance refers back to her voice recorder to determine if she actually did hear a voice of a paranormal entity.
